KEEP GRIT in the bucket

separate dirt from your mitt for a safer wash

Cleaner wash water leads to a safer wash. The Slick Products Wash Bucket Dirt Trap sits at the bottom of your wash bucket to help separate dirt, grit, sand, and debris from your wash mitt, sponge, or brush. As you rinse your wash tool, abrasive particles settle below the insert instead of being picked back up and dragged across your paint. Designed to fit most standard 3.5 to 6 gallon wash buckets, this reusable 12-inch insert is an easy upgrade for cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boats, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and all your dirty toys.

Frequently asked questions

FAQs

Will this fit my standard 5-gallon bucket?

Yes, the 12-inch design is made to fit most standard 3.5 to 6 gallon wash buckets. Bucket shapes can vary, so check your bucket opening and base size for best fit.

Does this actually prevent scratches?

It helps reduce the risk by trapping dirt, grit, and debris below the insert so your mitt or sponge is less likely to pick up abrasive particles during washing.

Do I need a two-bucket wash system?

It works great in any wash bucket but delivers the best results as part of a traditional two-bucket wash method.

Can I use it with any wash soap?

Yes. The Dirt Trap works with virtually any car wash soap, wash mitt, sponge, or wash brush.

How do I clean it?

Remove the insert after washing, rinse away trapped dirt and debris with clean water, allow it to dry, and it's ready for your next wash.

Safety

The Wash Bucket Dirt Trap helps reduce the risk of scratches by keeping dirt and grit at the bottom of the bucket. For best results, use with a clean wash mitt, plenty of soap and water, and a proper two-bucket wash method. Always rinse your mitt frequently, and never use a mitt on painted surfaces after it has contacted wheels, heavy mud, sand, or grease unless it has been thoroughly cleaned. Do not use as a step, seat, lid, or load-bearing platform. For car washing and detailing use only. Rinse after use to remove trapped dirt and debris.
