How can I wire the generator to power my entire house?

Power Joe® does not connect to your meter like a home standby generator. It is a portable generator that can be used to power multiple appliances (like lamps, TVs, electronics, sump pumps, kitchen appliances, microwaves, refrigerators, fans, heaters, small AC portable units) by using extension cords. Once Power Joe® is running and positioned safely outside your home, you can connect the included 25 ft heavy-duty extension cord to Power Joe’s appropriate receptacle on its main dashboard. Then, run this extension cord inside your home through a back door or window and connect it to a suitable power strip/surge protector. This will then provide power to the power strip and allow you to plug in and power multiple appliances around your home.

Is Power Joe® switch ready? Can Power Joe® be hooked up to a transfer box so it can be connected to a breaker box in the home?

Power Joe® is not transfer switch ready. To connect the generator to your home, you will need to purchase an appropriately rated Generator Power Inlet Box and have this installed outside your home by an electrical professional. Please be sure to avoid overloading.

What is the sound level of the exhaust compared to other similar generators using their distance and SPL measurement parameters? What is the decibel rating when starting up and when the engine is idling?

Other comparable generators usually show the noise level measured from 7 meters (23 feet). Power Joe’s SPL at 7 meters (23 feet) from the exhaust is 69dB at engine idling and 72 dB at Max load.
What class of generators is Power Joe® considered to be? Is it an inverter generator?
Power Joe® is a portable propane generator and classified as an open frame traditional generator. Power Joe’s engine drives the alternator to generate electricity. It is not an inverter generator. While it does consume less fuel when the load is low, it will not be as economic on fuel use as an inverter generator might be.
How do I use Power Joe® to power multiple appliances inside my home?
To use Power Joe® to power multiple appliances inside your home, start by situating Power Joe® outside your home in a well-ventilated area away from doors and windows. (Power Joe® must always remain outside your home since it contains a running engine.) Using the included 25-ft heavy duty extension cord, connect the cord to Power Joe’s appropriate receptacle on its main dashboard. Then, run the cord through a back door or window of your home, and connect the cord to a power strip/surge protector. This will then provide power to the power strip/surge protector, allowing you to plug in multiple appliances around your home like lamps, TVs, refrigerators, microwaves, portable A/C units, fans, heaters, medical equipment, and more.
How much runtime can I get with my Power Joe®?
Power Joe® provides up to 9 hours of runtime on a single 20 lb propane tank. It can provide up to 13.5 hours of runtime on a single 30 lb tank.
Can Power Joe® be used to power HVAC systems or central air conditioning/central heating systems?
No, Power Joe® cannot be hooked up to power your home’s HVAC system. However, you can use Power Joe® to power small portable AC units, fans, or portable space heaters. Please check the wattage rating of your appliance to ensure that it is compatible with Power Joe’s 4100 Starting Watts/3300 Running Watts.

What type of oil is required to run Power Joe?

Using the included oil funnel, fill the oil reservoir with SAE30 or "straight 30" oil, which can be found at your local hardware store or gas station. Your Power Joe comes equipped with a low oil sensor with an automatic shut off feature, so if your engine shuts off during operation, please check the oil level to ensure it is sufficient for proper operation.
